2010 is the beginning of the Five Ways story. Paul Meissner was talking with one of his clients about the way accounting firms run. Stuart (the client) said: “Do you know what’s wrong with you accountants?” Paul agreed and from there set about building the type of firm that he and his clients wanted. Taking the knowledge he had gained from over 9 years in Accounting Firms and a passion for servicing clients, Paul went out on his own.

While he was working out exactly what his clients wanted and the details for the new firm, Paul (on Stuart’s insistence) attended a Xero Information Session. A light bulb went off as years of regressed memory about file backups and the endless questions and time wasted finding the ‘live’ accounting data file. Online accounting software was the answer clients and accountants have been looking for. Real time access to accounting data by a business and their accountant will greatly increase the value of accounting advice and business performance.
